Please read this “terms and conditions” carefully before using the www.akaoru.com website and the Akaoru mobile application. Your access to and use of the service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these terms. These terms apply to all visitors, Artisans, Technicians, users, customers and other users who access this service.
BY ACCESSING OR USING THE SERVICE, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS. IF YOU DISAGREE WITH ANY PART OF THE TERMS,THEN YOU MAY NOT ACCESS THE SERVICE.
- You agree to provide and maintain accurate, current and complete information, including your contact information, valid means of identification; for notices and other communications from us and your payment information.
- Personal information shared in this platform remains confidential and will not be disclosed to any third-party except for security reasons.
- Personal information shared on this platform is subjected to validation. You agree that we may take steps to verify the accuracy of information you have provided to us
- Customers must ensure that there is an exchange of codes, to further ensure that the worker is from the company (i.e the customers must confirm that the booking number tallies that given to the agent assigned for the task as well as the registration number on the part of the staff should be in line with that given to the customer, for security reasons
- The customers are accountable for the materials required to implement the job. Akaoru Service Provider Ltd is concerned with delivery of the task as well as the payment for the task completed.
- Any of our staffs being sent to you must be properly dressed. Any of our staffs that portray indecency in their dressing should not be accommodated or welcomed.
- Akaoru gives warranties to our customers provided that such customers have paid all fees due and are not defaulting in any of their obligations.
- Any communication that is outside the awareness of this platform shall be termed invalid and therefore at owners risk.
- We reserve the right to modify or replace these terms and conditions at any time at our discretion. If a revision is to take effect, we will try to give prior notice to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes the change will be determined at our sole discretion.
- You may terminate your agreement and close your account with Akaoru at any time, with effect from the last day of your subscription term, by sending an email to help@akaoru.com. Akaoru may terminate its relationship with you, or may terminate/suspend your accessibility to the Website and Services at any time.
- A.S.P.L official minimum Installation or Service amount is N4,000.00 (Four Thousand Naira Only)
- The appointment may be canceled by the Technician. If the booking address is not the same as the location where the work will be performed and if the booking address change.
- You or a member of your family must be present at the vendor’s shop or office (Akaoru Market Place) before making any payment for materials or tools.
- Dear customer, if Our Technicians have listed any materials required for your work, please communicate with us or visit Akaoru Market Place to inquire about the cost of those materials. It is important to note that you should not give money directly to any of Our Technician for the purchase of materials. Instead, you can choose to purchase the materials from vendors on our platform, visit our office, or buy them yourself.
OUR TEAM
ACCOUNTS AND MEMBERSHIP
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Website and Services.
By using Our Website, Mobile App and Services and by agreeing to this Agreement you warrant and represent that you are at least 18 years of age.
If you create an account on the Website, or Mobile App you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and you are fully responsible for all activities that occur under the account and any other actions taken in connection with it. We may monitor and review new accounts before you may sign in and start using the Services.
Providing false contact information of any kind may result in the termination of your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized uses of your account or any other breaches of security.
We will not be liable for any acts or omissions by you, including any damages of any kind incurred as a result of such acts or omissions.
We may suspend, disable, or delete your account (or any part thereof) if we determine that you have violated any provision of this Agreement or that your conduct or content would tend to damage our reputation and goodwill.
If we delete your account for the foregoing reasons, you may not re-register for our Services. We may block your email address and Internet protocol address to prevent further registration.
Prohibited uses
In addition to other terms as set forth in the Agreement, you are prohibited from using the Website, Akaoru Mobile App and Services:
- To solicit others to perform or participate in any unlawful acts
- To harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate based on gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, race, age, national origin, or disability
- To submit false or misleading information
- To upload or transmit viruses or any other type of malicious code that will or may be used in any way that will affect the functionality or operation of the Website and Services, third party products and services, or the Internet
- To spam, phish, pharm, pretext, spider, crawl, or scrape
- To interfere with or circumvent the security features of the Website and Services, third party products and services, or the Internet. We reserve the right to terminate your use of the Website and Services for violating any of the prohibited uses.
Technician Contract
Technician Contract (Akaoru Service Provider Limited (A.S.P.L) Technician Information and Application Packet.)
- (intellectual property) : Akaoru Service Provider Limited may provide a branded materials and /or equipment. You would not utilize or duplicate Akaoru Service Provider Limited logos without express consent and approval by writing.
- You shall not make any misrepresentations, whether negligently or intentionally relating to this Agreement, or hold itself out to be an “agent” of Akaoru Service Provider Limited, except in the manner or to the extent contemplated in this Agreement.
- You undertakes not to disclose any information of Akaoru Service Provider Limited or its customers/clients to any third party (including any other service provider).
- You agrees not to make any public announcements about this document and/or his/her relationship with Akaoru Service Provider Limited, unless agreed to by Akaoru Service Provider Limited in writing.
- Akaoru Service Provider Limited shall not be liable for any acts and/or omissions of the worker (you) . The worker (you) undertake to indemnify Akaoru Service Provider Limited , its officers and employees fully at all times from and against all costs, claims, proceedings, demands and expenses, including reasonable legal costs and expenses, which Akaoru Service Provider Limited may incur or become liable to pay by reason of any breach of this agreement or any claim, demand suit that may be made or brought against Akaoru Service Provider Limited with respect to the services rendered by the worker(you) under this agreement.
- We will make the payment to you immediately or within one or two day after the client has paid and the task is completed. You must ask the customer for proof of payment.
- Do not engage in any form of abuse, theft, or taking anything that does not belong to you from the client or customer’s house. Such actions may result in the termination of your employment and require you to fully reimburse the client or customer.
- The parties may mutually agree in writing to terminate this Agreement at any time if the worker (you) breaches any material provision of this Agreement.
- Any fake information given to us about yourself will call for the termination of your job.
- A 10% or 20% fee will be collected from any amount charged to the client or customer for completing the assigned task.
- All payments, including both the cost of materials/tools and the installation fees, are to be paid directly to the company account.
- Don’t ever engage on a physical fight with any customer, unless is on life threats or self defense.
- If the customer changes the booking address assigned to you by the office at any point, please stop and return home. Any consequences that arise from this are your responsibility.
- The Client or Customer is responsible for purchasing all materials or equipment. You should not buy any materials, tools, or equipment without first obtaining permission from the office.
- By signing up with us, you give us the right to publicly post any criminal acts, theft, or abuse that you may have committed, using our services, name, or to our customers. This information will be displayed on our platform’s blacklist page, where your full details and pictures will be visible to both current and future customers.
- When a client or customer contacts you for maintenance, repairs, or installations, whether it’s for a new or old job, regardless of your previous involvement, it is necessary to communicate with us. This ensures that the job is assigned to you. If the office discovers that you have completed a job for our customers or clients without the company’s permission or notification, you will be subject to a service charge and office percentage. In such cases, you will be required to reimburse us the full amount you received for the job. Failure to do so may result in legal action by the office, potentially involving state law enforcement for breach of contract.

Service Requirements:
- All Technicians contracted by A.S.P.L are deemed to be independent contractors, and must be licensed/certified, bonded, and insured. Please provide us with proof of licensure/certification(Trade Testing, Master note), Two guarantor’s and insurance.
- After receiving a Work from A.S.P.L, please make a call to the customer to set up an appointment, at your earliest convenience, but no longer than 1-20 minutes after call, If for some reason you make contact with the customer prior to receiving a call, please contact A.S.P.L as soon as possible.
- Please be on time for appointments. If you cannot make the scheduled appointment, please call the customer to acknowledge that you are running late, or that you have to reschedule.
- Please be careful and respectful while at a customer’s home.
- Leave the service area clean and neat as it was found.
- Once a diagnosis is performed, you must either call or provide A.S.P.L with a full description of the diagnosis. Payment will be remitted to you within 1 – 2 business days.
- No pricing (whether service call fee, parts, and/or labor) or discussion of whether the claim is covered or not is to be conveyed to the customer. Furthermore, no conversations between A.S.P.L and you are to be had in the presence of the customer. For example, with regard to authorizations, feel free to call us from your car/truck or outside the home, and not in front of the customer.
Billing Instructions
Please note: A.S.P.L does not pay for travel expenses or any additional fees, including but not limited to, transaction fees, etc. If you are going to apply any charges for those items, they must be included in your fees.
Operational Procedure
A.S.P.L will contact you to confirm your availability to service the customer, and a customer number will be sent via email / sms / whatsapp. The customer must be contacted by you within 1-20 minutes after we have received order to set up an appointment time.
Construction Industry
Any assigned Site Supervisor, Architectural, Civil (Builder), Quantity surveyor, Realtor. all discussion agreed between the two parties. Is a must the two parties acknowledge the office and get note from us, before any further of transactions of any kind.
Use of Technician's and Artisan's Images
Akaoru Service Provider Ltd may use images of our technicians for promotional and informational purposes, including but not limited to:
- Jotters, brochures, and flyers
- Company website and mobile app
- Social media and marketing materials
- Other company-related publications
By working with Akaoru Service Provider Ltd, Technicians acknowledge and agree that:
- Their images may be used to represent the company’s workforce and services.
- No financial compensation will be provided for the use of their images.
- Images will not be used in any misleading or inappropriate manner.
- Technicians may request the removal of their images from future materials by contacting Akaoru Service Provider Ltd in writing. However, previously published materials may still contain their images.
By continuing as a technician with Akaoru Service Provider Ltd, you agree to this policy. If you have any concerns or wish to opt out, please notify us in writing.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION
The exclusive jurisdiction and venue for actions related to the subject matter hereof shall be the courts located in Nigeria, and you hereby submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
Changes and amendments
What constitutes the change will be determined at our sole discretion.
Acceptance of these terms
You acknowledge that you have read this Agreement and agree to all its terms and conditions.
By accessing and using the Website, Akaoru Mobile App and Services you agree to be bound by this Agreement.
If you do not agree to abide by the terms of this Agreement, you are not authorized to access or use the Website and Services.
